Located in Bank Alley on the Ithaca Commons, visitors can enter through the front door adjacent to the Bernie Milton Pavilion.


Street and garage parking are available nearby. Street parking is free evenings and weekends. There is one handicap accessible space at the back of the building. Most nearby street parking is handicap accessible.


The building also includes offices for some of the partner organizations, along with two shared meeting rooms, one named in honor of civil rights pioneer Dorothy Cotton.


Individuals or groups interested in renting a meeting room or the CAP ArtSpace for an event may reach out to Ben Sandberg at director@thehistorycenter.net.


Downtown Visitor Center

Downtown Visitor Center is open Thursday-Saturday 10am-5pm.

Community Arts Partnership’s ArtSpace (within the Ithaca College Gallery)

Open to the public Wednesday-Saturday 10am-5pm each week, and from 10am-8pm the first Friday of each month for Gallery Night.

The History Center’s Exhibit Hall

The History Center Exhibit Hall is open Wednesday-Saturday 10am-5pm, or by special appointment (contact community@thehistorycenter.net).
